As an artist, I want to paint images that make you smile.  In the hurried world we live in, I want to be able to slow down time and capture a particular moment.  The process of commissioning a portrait should be a pleasure.  Listening to what you would like to see in a painting is the first step. I paint subjects from your photographs; this allows you to be freed from the inconvenience of a sitting.  After talking to you by phone, we will arrange for you to send me a couple of photographs for reference. Then we will determine the size of the canvas, timing of the project and pricing. Carefully paying attention to your preferences, you and I will combine your personal desires with my ability to translate your ideas onto canvas. My portraits are done with care and attention to detail, but, please understand that while my work is realistic, the portrait is not just a copy of a photograph, it is my personal interpretation of the subject.  I look forward to working with you.

$500.00 non-refundable down payment, with balance due upon completion. After sending the remaining balance, I will ship the completed portrait to you, along with your original photographs. Prices do not include framing.
